Waste Tire Shredding & Recycling System

Yuxi machinery offers an end-of-life tire recycling system designed to maximize throughput while maintaining precise control over particle size and quality with chips perfectly sized for producing TDF,rubber granules and powder. This comprehensive system efficiently processes tires through multiple stages, ensuring consistent and high-value output.

Application

The rubber, steel wire, fiber in waste tires have high recycling value. Through effective recycling, these materials can be put back into production, reducing resource waste, protecting the environment, and achieving both economic and ecological benefits.

1. Rubber product production: Rubber powder is one of the important raw materials in the production of rubber products, such as rubber floor tiles, rubber runways, rubber waterstops, etc.
2. Road construction: Tire rubber powder can be used as an additive for modified asphalt to improve the crack resistance, durability and anti-aging properties of asphalt pavement. In addition, tire rubber powder can also be used as a filling material for road base and cushion layers to improve the bearing capacity and stability of roads.
3. Building materials: Tire rubber powder can be used as an additive for building materials, such as cement concrete, thermal insulation mortar, etc. Adding tire rubber powder can improve the strength and durability of these materials while reducing production costs.
4. Paints and inks: Tire rubber powder can be used as an additive for paints and inks to improve product performance and stability.

Working Process

Stage 1: Primary Shredding
The tyre is fed into the yuxi double shaft primary shredder at this stage through the infeed conveyor system. This unit is high torque low-speed equipment, which reduces the whole tyre to variable-size strips. The shredded tyre strips are approximately 50mm rubber block.
Stage 2: Secondary Shredding
At this stage, the primary tyre shred is fed into the yuxi secondary shredder through a conveyor feed system. This unit is heavy-duty medium-speed equipment with a screening system, which produces tyre chips of size 20-30 mm called rubber mulch. This process liberates ferrous metal from the bead and tread area and then separates through the over-band magnet, providing rubber mulch up to 98% steel-free for further processing.
Stage 3: Primary Granulation
In the primary granulation stage, 98% of steel-free rubber chips (rubber mulch) are fed to the yuxi granulator through the conveyor feed system. TR-Series Granulator is specially designed to accept steel-free rubber mulch for further downsizing and textile liberation. This process liberates 50% fibre (textile) and then separates through Classifier.
Stage 4: Final Granulation
In the final Granulation stage, primary-granulated material is fed into yuxi granulator through a screw feed system. This unit is high-speed equipment with a screening system, which produces rubber granules of size 0.8-4 mm and separates the remaining liberated 50% textile with the help of classifier-2 and separation table. Secondary magnetic separation removes the remaining leftover 1-2% steel wire. It provides a high-quality rubber granule with a purity of up to 99.9%.
